Theme Parks

Disneyland Paris is Europe’s leading tourist destination and the place where, every year, the dreams of millions of visitors come true. Since its opening on April 12th, 1992, Disneyland Paris has enjoyed a remarkable boom and has won the hearts of Europeans who come in ever-increasing numbers, attracted by the quality and incredible diversity of Disney entertainment. In August 2008, Disneyland Paris welcomed its 200-millionth visitor since opening, which in itself demonstrates how excited the public is about this short-stay destination which features two theme parks: Disneyland Park, opened in 1992, and Walt Disney Studios Park, opened in 2002, seven Disney hotels, two convention centres, an amusement centre – Disney Village – and a 27-hole golf course.

THEME PARKS

Disneyland® Park
Disney magic fits perfectly into Disneyland Park, with numerous and famous attractions in its five enchanting lands surrounding the emblematic Sleeping Beauty’s Castle: Main Street USA, a replica of a typical small American turn-of-the-century town with its arcades, horse-drawn trams and steam train; Frontierland, the land of pioneers and gold diggers from the days of the Wild West; Adventureland, the African savannah, the tropical islands of the Caribbean with their pirates and shipwreck survivors; Fantasyland, the land of legends and fairytales; and lastly Discoveryland, the land of the future as the greatest European visionaries such as Jules Verne and Leonardo da Vinci had imagined it.

Walt Disney Studios® Park
Walt Disney Studios Park offers an interactive peek behind the scenes of the world of cinema, animation and television. In 2007, two additional attractions were introduced: Crush’s Coaster, a dive into a whirlpool of adventure on-board a roller coaster, inspired by the Disney Pixar film “Finding Nemo”, and Cars Race Rally, a breathtaking race along mythical Route 66, inspired by the Disney Pixar film “Cars”. In 2008, there were still more thrills and laughter at Walt Disney Studios Park, with two new attractions opening that quickly became highly successful: The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (a leap into the Fourth Dimension), which is acknowledged as a reference for thrill-seekers and amateurs of the bizarre, and Stitch Live!, starring none other than the mischievous animated character Stitch himself, conversing with the audience during a most unusual interactive experience. Finally, Toy Story Playland opened its doors to the public in summer 2010, this new land incorporates three separate attractions.
